Ramón is a licensed mental health counselor, a marriage and family therapist and a dedicated and highly skilled Senior Manager, with over 35 years in mental health organizations in the areas of program development and supervisory experience. Ramón utilizes his backgrounds in financial, operational, clinical theory and practice, and non-profit management to design, prepare, review, and implement innovative programs. Ramón has extensive knowledge of the NY State Office of Mental Health (OMH), NY City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH), U.S Housing and Urban Development-SHP (HUD) systems and regulations. He was a Peer Reviewer for the Federal Government Substance Abuse and Mental Health Service Administration (SAHMSA) to review grant applications in homelessness, HIV/AIDS, mental health, and substance abuse related areas. His positions have ranged from clinical supervisors, Assistant Vice President of Mental Health Programs, Executive Deputy, Deputy Director, Program Director, Grant Reviewer, Psychotherapist and Researcher. Ramón has extensive training and education in the Mental Health field - including a Post Graduate Certificate in Mental Health and Aging from Adelphi Univ., Advanced Professional Training in Analytical Psychology from the C.G.
